Doth Judo

Two best friends, Tom and Conrad, have grown up with a simple yet huge principle. DOTH JUDO, which stands for Don’t Think, Just Do. It is the mentality they live by. they want to be a Jack of All Trades. They want to do it all. Experience all they can. Learn all they can. Do things just to be able to say they did them. The summer of 2010 is the beginning of bigger and better things. Tom and Conrad have created a monstrous list of things they want to do and accomplish. They do not view it as “bucket list”. A bucket list is more of a “cross it off as you get there” type of thing. Their “Doth Judo” list is more a seek and destroy mission. They will pick and item on a list, head out, accomplish the task at hand, come home and cross that sucker off the list. And then of course, blog about it. They will have photos and videos as proof (except for certain explicit things). There is no time limit for the list, but they wont be sitting around waiting for things to happen. They are going to make shit happen.

103. Donate Blood. So, I donated blood twice. First time was in school, which was great because i got to miss class. Not going to lie, I was sooooo nervous. But i never cried about shots or needles when I was younger so I figured I’d be fine. All the free snacks at the end were an amazing added bonus. The second time I donate blood did not go as well haha. My friend Nikki and I were going to warped tour and found out about this blood drive where you go to a local mall and donate blood and receive a VIP pass. I met her at the mall on my way home from work. They didn’t let her donate blood because she was to short hahahaha. luckily they still gave her the VIP pass because they felt bad. They strapped me in and I waited. About half way through, I became very very very light headed. I tried to ignore it at first but it quickly got worse. Everything became white and fuzzy, so I said oohhhhh I  Don’t feel to good. Out of no where 3 of the doctors quickly ran over flipped my chair back so the blood from my legs would move towards my body and head. It was sooo freaky. I just wanted them to pull the needle out. they told me I had about a minute left so i decided to just tough it out. Anyway, I got my VIP pass and this leads into the next post =D. -Conrad

98. Back Stage Passes For A Band You Like The concert was a week after I donated blood and received the VIP pass. Basically, the VIP pass wasn’t that special, but you could get a free shirt along with some other things like cutting the line for a band signing. Anyway I read the bottom of the pass and it said the first 100 people at a certain tent would receive a SUPER VIP PASS. We decided that we might as well go all out and try to get this upgraded pass. hahah so we showed up 2 hours early and we were amongst the first 20 people there. Waiting totally sucked. We were melting in the heat and everyone smelled like B.O, but whatever. As more people showed up, i noticed that EVERYONE had one of these cards. So obviously everyone was going to run straight to this tent. Nikki and I pushed our way to the front to try to be one of the first people scanned through. And suddenly it hit me. I have been doing track and field for so long, there was no way these punk ass scene chicks were going to beat me there. As soon as they let me through, nikki grabbed my belt and i jetted. It was a highspeed search for a tent which we had no clue what it looked like. But of course we found the tent and were the 10th people in line. We received these black wristbands that basically let us do anything we wanted!!! muiwhahaha. We were able to go backstage FOR ANY BAND WE WANTED. also, we got free water bottle refills and we were allowed in the tour bus section. We were backstage for In Fear And Faith (the picture) who were amazing live, ( of mice and men, and Enter Shikari who are CRAZYYYY live, and some other bands. It was SOOOO epic and in the long run it was worth everything we went through to get the passes. -Conrad

38. Attempt to Eat a Raw Onion Like an Apple

okay,so, this absolutely sucked x 4503465. We do not recommend trying this. Yea, eating onions on a sandwich is not a big deal and tastes good, eating it whole is just horrible. The taste is not bad, it’s just the fact that your tongue, cheeks, throat, sinuses, and eyes are suffering a burning inferno. Tom almost threw up and felt like crap for the rest of the day. Conrad thought he was having an allergic reaction, ( lips swelled a little , throat was itchy, and his face tingled).  THE WORST PART, the taste of onion was in our mouths for the next 3-4 days. We think the taste of the onion literally burned into the walls of our mouths. But we found that drinking coffee was the best solution. (quick fun fact - if you smelled something totally nasty and now you just can’t help but still smell it, smelling coffee or coffee beans will get rid of that smell and you will be save) so that was why conrad drank coffee (Toms hates coffee)  figuring it will kill the smell and taste. Anywho, this was a pretty damn bad idea, which is why we did it XD. But, we don’t think we’ll ever try this again.

1. start a tumblr to document our epic stories, so all can laugh, fail, and cry with us. this is it, what we&#8217;ve been waiting for&#8230;the beginning to something amazing. first off let me add that us starting this and getting this far is amazing as it is because we never follow through with any of our ideas. the idea of our &#8220;doth judo&#8221; list started the beginning of our freshman years in college. we were obviously inspired by the buried life, and once we agreed to make a list we both made our own separate lists. over the course of two semesters more than 170 daring deeds formed, and at exactly 8:43(or sometime at night)we finally sat down and combined or lists to form the almighty doth judo list itself. it is still growing, but we will cap it at 200 so it is possible to finish the list at some point. so yea just popped the list&#8217;s cherry, broke the seal, and whatever other phrases are equal to that. win.

Hey what&#8217;s up! I am Conrad and yes that is my first name. And now i will proceed to tell you a bunch of random facts about me. I am 100% Polish and i didn&#8217;t learn English until i was about 7. I am 19 years old and a sophomore at Philadelphia University, Where I am majoring in Industrial Design. I play guitar and rock out on an Ibanez RG &lt;3. I have been doing track since 6th grade and I am pretty damn fast. Track is my life, i love it. 400m hurdles all the way. I absolutely love Cherry Limeade, Cheese Burgers, and Cookies. I am very very very good at reading people. I notice all the small fine things in life that seem to skip passed everyone else&#8217;s eyes. I like to write lyrics/poetry/creative stories. I think of myself as a conversationalist. I will talk to you about anything and everything. I have a secret crush on lights (the singer). But yea i don&#8217;t really know what else to tell you. well this is me, tom sum. you can&#8217;t really tell what i look like, but idc this picture is sweet. this picture was taken at tcnj at an ultimate frisbee tournament. carrying on&#8230; i&#8217;m 18, 100% chinese, and i&#8217;m going to be a sophomore in college. i love music. give me some brand new or tbs and im set. i play the piano and write quite a bit. i&#8217;m usually very quiet and very awkward when out. i don&#8217;t type with any capitals. unless i&#8217;m yelling LIKE THIS. i love playing volleyball and ultimate, actually i like playing all sports it&#8217;s just those two are the top. i like to make people laugh. i&#8217;m a pretty good listener and i pay attention to small details. i am extremely lazy&#8230; i am extremely lazy. my favorite colors are blue and lime green. i&#8217;m at the beach all the time, so if you&#8217;re in jersey at the beach hit me up. i don&#8217;t really know what else to type so if you are curious about something ask! i&#8217;m pretty stoked to start this list, we have over 150 ballin things that we are going to do and the list is still growing. hope you guys like. tomsum.tumblr.com/ &lt;&#8212;&#8212;-personal tumblr.
